I throw away bad hard drives typically, I serious love Seagate HD drives since In can STILL Hear the noises they make before imminent normal use failure and always have multiple backups on important info for myself and clients. HOWEVER I am old / Disabled and incapable of hardware repairs. SEAGATE Customer service although polite and seemingly respectful for my near MILLION Dollar past business with them has sent me to remote control. MY Current problem is a Seagate GoFlex Home (Discontinued Hardware & Software) docking station that a Verizon Tech damaged upon crippling my FIOS service (now that I am a senior & TV is my BFF) and suffer physically moving my computer tivo files on FLASH DRIVES no less when the Working Seagate Goflex WAS Functional.
Seagate Sent me here (REAL Person I Suspect) to fix the Sata port on this dock after I wrestled with an AI Robot for 30 minutes previously and this place seems to have NO Avenue to address something that I can no longer do to my age and disabilities.... IF Someone can solder a NEW MALE Sata port to the goflex home (Already setup and working till Verizon came to force an upgrade), drop me a note at [****], I am willing to pay a reasonable sum and mail the unit to you (its light), I know it takes at bests a 30 minute endeavor but it looks like Seagate has joined the "who Cares" group on the line of "Where's My Money at!).
This service looks like a HD repair shop that I may use one day if they can repair such things as Messed up Seagate NAS drives AND Enclosure, Multiple client GoFlex home issues Drives and Docks) Seagate Hub's And One Touch CASE and drive issues - and accessories which I find impossible to locate on the seagate Website.
Seagate Hub Repair BACK to the original case is beyond my knowledge But I can salvage the drive inside when the case is blown same with the Go Flex Homes but I need trays, MB's (if Possible) for the old Seagate Nas drives as well as carriages
